As you know, the iH8Snow team has recently upgraded their jailbreak tool to Snowbreeze 2.9.14. the updated Snowbreeze version offers the possibility to start untethered jailbreak on iPhone 3GS running on iOS 6.1.3 and tethered jailbreak for iPhone 3G, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4th generation.

Snowbreeze 2.9.14 for iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak

Along with the release of iOS 6.1.3, the Fruit Company patched the Evasion jailbreak tool. In this respect, jailbreak is now possible by using RedSnow tool or Snowbreeze 2.9.14. However, untethered and tethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 firmware is possible only on old bootrom devices such as iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G.

As a mention, the new update brings minor bug fixes, which these include the APTicket validation issue and connected help for A4 devices on 6.1.3 firmware. Snowbreeze will check for APTicket validation after scanning iOS 5 and later in the iFaith mode.

Jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 using Snowbreeze 2.9.14

Before you start the jailbreak process using Snowbreeze 2.9.14, you need to keep in mind certain aspects. First of all, users should know that Snowbreeze support only iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4G. Secondly, after the pre-A4 device, you need the latest Snowbreeze version, meaning Snowbreeze 2.9.14. Since Snowbreeze works only on Windows, you need Windows 8 running.NET Framework 3.5 installed. In the same time, you need an USB cable to connect your device to your computer.

Since Snowbreeze 2.9.14 performs untethered jailbreak only on iPhone 3GS old bootroms, in the case of a tethered jailbreak, you will have to plug your device to a computer and boot in a tethered jailbreak mode with iBooty each time your device runs out of battery, or it reboots.

Step 1: Download Snowbreeze 2.9.14 and install it on your desktop computer.

Step 2: Launch Snowbreeze tool and click on the blue arrow on the right side of the display.

Step 3: Click on the Browse for an IPSW and choose the firmware version suitable for your device.

Step 4: Once the firmware file has been verified, a new blue arrow will appear on the right-bottom corner. Click on the arrow and choose the Simple Mode option.

Step 5: At this point, the software will show a pop-up widow asking if you want to activate your iPhone. Click on “Yes” if you want to unlock your device using various programs such as Ultrasnow. On the other hand, if you are running on an official supported carrier or if you own a factory unlock iPhone, you should select the “No” option.

As I stated earlier, tethered jailbreak using Snowbreeze 2.9.12 on pre-A4 devices require using iBooty to boot in a tethered mode each time the device runs out of battery or reboots.
