With the iOS 8 being here for a while, and with Pangu jailbreak tool for iOS 8 Windows-only also released, it was natural to assume when the Mac users will get the same privileged status. Fortunately, the Pangu team has already suggested that a variant of Pangu8 is in the offing for Mac, and this should take only to a couple of days ago.
In a tweet following the announcement of Pangu8 1.2.1, which brings us the possibility to install Cydia download store along with the jailbreak process, the jailbreak team of developers also pointed out that a Mac edition is on its way, although there is no estimated time for the release.
According to the Twitter release, Pangu team stated that “Also we are already working on a Mac version. It may come out in a couple of days. Pls wait a bit more time. “
In the same time, it is worth mentioning the fact that Apple already plugged in the exploits that have made the Pangu8 Possible in the first place along with the iOS 8.1.1 update. Even if the update remains in the beta version for the time being, it is recommended for you to avoid upgrading your device because jailbreak will no longer be possible, at least for a while now.
We do not know when beta software is going to release as far as Apple is concerned, and thus, the best thing you could do is to avoid upgrading, as I mentioned earlier, and if you planned to jailbreak your iO8 8 device, please hurry before Apple stops signing it. This means you should update to iOS 8.1 as soon as possible, but avoid upgrading using the over-the-air alternative. In the same time, do not forget to run a restore through iTunes instead.
