As some of you already know, P0sixspwn was recently released in order to provide iOS 6.1.3, 6.1.4, and 6.1.5 untethered jailbreak. Initially, the tool offered only Mac support, but soon, its compatibility with Windows was unveiled. At this point, developers decided to release a new updated version of the tool that provides both the Mac OS X and Windows offerings upgraded to version 1.0.5.
The latest version brings a couple of bug fixes that have been reported by different users in the last few days after they tried the tool. However, the official changelog, does not name the bug that were fixed along with the release of the 1.0.5 update, but as it is expected, the latest version should offer a more stable experience for all users, despite the platform they are using.
What is worth mentioning is the fact that the push to version 1.0.5 brings added support for Mac OS X users. The last version brings support also for the OS X Snow Leopard. I do not know how many users still run the Snow Leopard on their devices, but this is a good thing. However, for those who still run, the process will definitely run smoothly.
As you know, P0sixspwn was developed by iH8sn0w and Winocm, and it the second jailbreak tool released in the last period, after the well-awaited Evasi0n7 for jailbreak iOS 7. The jailbreak tool is designed for those users who want to stick to an older iOS version, such as iOS 6.1.3, 6.1.4, or 6.1.5, instead of upgrading their devices to Apple’s latest version.
It is worth mentioning the fact that the tool was surrounded by critics and controversy at the time it was released. Various critics suggested the fact that jailbreak developers wasted a valuable exploit in order to produce a jailbreak tool that works only with older, non-supported firmwares.
If you happen to own an older device running one of the already mentioned firmwares, and you want to start untethered jailbreak, you are free to download this updated tool from the links bellow.
