Apple has officially released on Monday the iOS 7 beta 2 and now it is available for download. This happens exactly two weeks after the first version of the software was revealed to developers. The new version promises to fix bugs, and it contains other undocumented improvements and changes related to performance enhancement. The software requires developers to sign a privacy agreement before downloading it.
The initial version of iOS 7 Beta was made available to developers immediately after the well-known Worldwide Developers Conference keynote speech on June 10th. It represented the first opportunity for developers who develop software for the operating system to try out Apple’s latest iOS version.
As far as some users are concerned, the jump from iOS 5 to iOS 6 represented a major change. However, in the case of iOS 7, the change is even bigger. The introduction of iOS 7 changes everything, and it brings multiple new animations and slick interface navigation methodologies.
The Cupertino based company has made the iOS 7 beta 2 available as an over-the-air update for those who already installed it on their iOS devices. In the same time, the new update will is expected to see other changes in a short time as Apple continues to improve its operating system. Therefore, users can easily upgrade their test devices now, or wait for the next changed version to be released.
iPad and iPad Mini Support
As you know, the first beta version of the iOS 7 was designed to work only on iPhone and iPod Touch. However, with a couple of weeks passed since it was released, the second beta version for Apple’s latest operating system bring support for all iOS devices, including the iPad and the iPad mini as well.
It is worth mentioning the fact that the new improved operating system version brings multiple and notable changes and updates. For example, the Voice Memos app has returned with both male and female Siri voices. The feature was first demonstrated by Apple at the annual WWDC.
Moreover, the whole OS is more responsive, and it performs much better than the first beta of iOS 7. Safari has also received small UI improvements, but they are not that noticeable. In the same time, iOS 7 beta 2 for iPad and iPad mini brings iMessages bug fix and Voicemail feature.
Multiple users already reported the fact that the voice recognition assistant is a little bit faster than it was on the first beta version. Apparently, Apple is doing its best in order to make Siri powerful and more reliable.
The iOS 7 beta 2 is supported by the following iPad models: iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4 and the iPad mini.
