Step 1: Upgrade your device to iOS 6.1.2 using the iTunes service or OTA. However, some developers suggest the fact that you should not choose to restore your device over the air because you might encounter certain problems when jailbreaking.
Step 2: As you know, you are recommended to disable the Passcode Lock within your device. For this, you need to go to Settings> General> Passcode Lock> Off.
Step 3: Download Evasion 1.4 for iOS 6.1.2 with support for Windows, Mac or Linux.
Step 4: Install and launch Evasion 1.4 on your desktop computer. At this point, you need to click on the Jailbreak button and the jailbreaking process will start immediately. The tool will do its job and all you have to do is to wait a couple of minutes.
Step 5: When Evasion 1.4 finishes the jailbreak process, your device should boot right away. Now, you will be able to see a Jailbreak icon your home screen. Tap on it in order to complete the process.
