As you already know, the Evad3rs team is represented by the MuscleNerd, Pod2g, PlanetBeing and Pimskeks. They work pretty hard in order to give us the untethered jailbreak for iOS 6 and 6.1 recently they announced the Evasi0n, the iOS 6/6.1 untethered jailbreak tool for Windows, Linux and Mac. However, the tool is not available yet, but I according to their rumors, they plan to release it this Sunday.
Once again, through a Twitter post, we were able to tell when this well-awaited jailbreak tool is supposed to land in our very own hands. Therefore, the release is likely planed for this Sunday. We were able to assume this thing because the Evad3rs team planted a subtle 3 in the Calendar feature on all devices presented in the released picture. In other words, the Evasi0n tool will be compatible with all firmwares from iOS 6.0 until iOS 6.1 and in the same time, it will support all the following devices: iPhone 3GS/4/4S/4, iPad 2/3/4 and mini, iPod Touch 4th/5th and in the last part, the Apple TV 2. In what concerns the Apple TV 3, we still do not have any other rumors regarding it, but the most likely is that this particular device will not be supported by the already-famous Evasi0n, the iOS 6/6.1 untethered jailbreak tool.
Once again, according to an official source, we were able to share with you what the Evasi0n will require in order to work. First, in what concerns the operating system from your computer, you need Windows XP and over, OS X 10.5 and over, and in the last part, Linux, x86/x84_64. You still need an iDevice, such as an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, running iOS 6.0/iOS 6.1 in other to start iOS 6/6.1 untethered jailbreak on your iPhone 5 or any other device. In the last part, the whole process will last only 5 minutes and you will need an USB cable to make the connection.
Despite the fact that can you can use Evasi0n on any firmware starting with iOS 6.0, the most likely is that you should upgrade your device to the latest firmware released by Apple if you want to test all those great and new things offered in the last operating system version. For this, you can whether choose a direct download iOS 6.1 link or you can use your iTunes account. In the same time, all of you who run iOS 6.0 or iOS 6.1 on A4-based devices, you can still perform tethered jailbreak on your device using Redsnow, the famous jailbreak tool. However, if you do not want a tethered jailbreak on your device, you should wait until iOS 6/6.1 untethered jailbreak tool will be available.
