Released only for users with Mac OS X, the P0sixspwn jailbreak tool for iOS 6.1.3, 6.1.4, and iOS 6.1.5 has recently been updated in order to offer support and compatibility for Windows users, as well. It is worth mentioning the fact that this Windows jailbreak tool remains at the version 1.0.3 while the OS X offering remains at the 1.0.2 release introduced with the LTE bug fix as well as OS X Lion support.
As expected, since the Mac tool was released, it was only a matter of time until the Windows users will be able to enjoy an untethered jailbreak offered by the P0sixspwn tool. Its rapid release indicates the fact that the testing went off as it should. However, the final proof will be revealed by those iOS users who decide to use the tool.
As the team behind P0sixspwn suggested, the latest version 1.0.3 with support for Windows is much more stable than the current OS X version, meaning that the first one triggered some problems regarding the LTE support, but now, it was also fixed.
However, as happens with any other jailbreak tool, we will not be sure of its full functionality until it will be mass tested by the intended audience, on different devices from the compatibility list. Since the tool is much stable than before, let us hope that there will be no other problem during the jailbreak process. Otherwise, I am sure that its creators will fix it in no time.
For those Windows users who run their devices on the iOS 6.1.x and do not want to upgrade their devices to Apple’s latest firmware, the P0sixspwn tool offers an alternative. Feel free to download the tool with compatibility for Windows and begin jailbreak immediately.
