Recently, the famous iH8Snow jailbreak team updated their iREB tool, which offered support for iOS 6.1.2. The latest version and namely the iREB R7 brings multiple new improvements and support for iTunes error fixes.
For those of you who know now, iREB is a Windows tool, which allows users to enter their iOS devices into Pwned DFU mode. The Pwned mode offers you the possibility to upgrade your device to a customized firmware. With iREB tool, you are able to restore or to upgrade your current firmware while you bypass iTunes errors such as 1600//1601/1602/1603/1604, which appear when downgrading or restoring and iOS device.
iReb R7 Tool – What makes it so special?
The iREB tool is exclusively designed for Windows users only who encountered certain iTunes errors at the time of recovery on custom firmware with the help of Snowbreeze or Pwnagetool. Almost all users who tried to create a custom firmware using one of the already mentioned tools have encountered at least one of these iTunes problems. To put things even clearer, these problems block the restore process entirely, and users are not able to create the custom firmware.
In order to use iREB R7 on your iOS device, you need a Windows desktop computer; it works just fine on XP, Vista or Windows 7) and iTunes installed on your computer. For now, iREB R7 supports only older devices such as phoned 2/3G/3GS/4, iPad, iPod Touch 1G/2G/3G/4 and Apple TV 2. All newer devices running on an A5 or A6 processor need to wait a little bit more for a small update.
In this respect, the iREB R7 was released in order to fix the iTunes errors (1015, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, and 1604) and to assure users a successful and complete restoring process. Soon after the iREB for iOS 6.1.2 devices was released, the most probably is that the jailbreak developer will soon release a new iREB for iOS 1.6.3.
