The mobile operating system brings multiple new features to supported devices.

As I mentioned above, the latest iOS version brings multiple new features, a lot of improvements and options, as well as some changed visual aspects. Interactive Notifications

Until iOS 7, the only way in which a user could interact with an incoming notification was by tapping on the notification itself. The iOS 8 takes things to a different level, by introducing the interactive notifications. Now, simply by swiping left of right to the notification, you will be able to reply to a text message, tweet, etc. There is no need to launch the whole application.

New Mail Gestures

The Mail app in iOS 8 is completely changed, and it provides users with new possibilities. For instance, a simple swipe gesture allows you to trash, flag or see More Details for an email. Now, users will be able to interact with the mail option with less effort.

iCloud Drive

The iCloud Drive allows users to work across applications, and it is integrated in the iOS 8 in a lot of places. Apparently, it will allow users to access their files from multiple platforms.

How to Download iOS 8 GM

Now, after you have seen some of the most important features and changes that the iOS 8 is offering us, if you want to download the mobile OS on your iPhone, iPad or iPod, here is what you need to do.

Step 1: Register to the iOS Dev Center here developer.apple.com/programs/ios/. It is important to mention the fact that you will need to spend some money on the registration.

Step 2: Sign into the iOS dev Center using your Apple ID.

Step 3: Now, you need to find out the UDID of your device and register on the website. For this, plug your device to the iTunes account and click on the serial number.

Step 4:  Again on the iOS Dev Center, after you register the UDID, search for the iOS 8 section and download the iOS 8 GM firmware required for your device.

Step 5: Download the ZIP file and extract it.

Step 6: Launch iTunes and connect your device to your computer.

Step 7: On your Mac, hold the Alt key or Shift key on Windows computers, and click on the Restore iPhone. iTunes will now ask you to select the IPSW you extracted earlier. Select it.

Step 8: Now, wait a couple of minutes until iTunes install the iOS 8 on your device. Once the process is done, your device will turn on, and you will be able to enjoy the latest options and features offered by Apple’s latest iOS update.
