Today’s update does not bring too many changes or new features, although, we know that Apple does not mention each and every little alteration within the change log. With each beta release of the iOS 8, Apple introduced a few surprises here and there, which improves the overall functionality of their famous mobile operating system. And the iOS 8 beta 4 is no exception, since it has some notable improvements and modifications.

For example, the alleged Bug Reported app, which allowed users to send bug and crash reports to Apple, has been removed in iOS 8 beta 4. In the same time, the new iOS 8 beta 4 brings a new makeover for the Homekit icon.
It is worth mentioning the new display and brightness setting. Apple has made a small change to how brightness is changed from the settings app, now being found under the Display & Brightness setting. The option now includes the possibility to alter text size, to turn bold text on or off.
A new option Handoff & Suggested Apps has been added under Settings > General, which lets users turn off or on the ability to show relevant apps to their location on the lock screen or the app switcher. Moreover, with the latest beta update, users are able to customize whether they want to see the recent or favorite contacts in the App Switcher. In order to access this setting, just head over to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and then select “Show in App Switcher” under the Contacts section.
The GM release of the iOS 8 should be introduced along with Apple’s next generation of Smartphone, called the iPhone 6. The new software along with the new hardware are expected to be unveiled anytime soon, although Apple is known for its habit of revealing more than four beta version for a major OS update.
