The iOS 7 was released a couple of days earlier, and it is compatible for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices. The update represents one of the biggest updates to Apple devices since its release in 2007.
The software update was supposed to reach the public hands at the same time as the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5c will be available for purchase. However, the Fruit Company has decided to unveil it earlier. With two bugs being reported by multiple developers, Apple has updated iOS 7 offering the iOS 7.0.1 update.
Download links for the very latest iOS update have gone live for the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5c. iOS 7.0.1 is supposed to fix two bugs in iOS 7 for the already-mentioned devices, and namely a problem with the Touch ID Sensor and iTunes App Store Purchase system.
Both of these two devices are due to appear tomorrow, and they will be running iOS 7 out of the box. However, as soon as users will activate their brand new devices, iOS 7.0.1 will be available as an over-the-air update. Moreover, they will be prompted to update to iOS 7.0.1 as soon as possible.
As David Pogue and Walt Mossberg noted, “the update for iOS was hitting this Friday, in time for the launch of the new device”. Apparently, the update comes exclusively to fix a bug with the Touch ID system and iTunes purchases.
iOS 7 is considered to be Apple’s master product since the iPhone itself. The version changes almost everything related to the operating system as Apple fans used to know. The addition of multiple new features and the visual design overhaul is only a proof that Apple is going to stay on the market for a while. Nevertheless, the reaction of the public is still unknown. What is clear is the fact that Apple is planning to do everything in order to assure the success of their iPhone line.
For those who plan to upgrade their new purchased devices to Apple’s latest software update, iTunes 11.1 is required in order to be able to download iOS 7.0.1 over-the-air, and restore it on a desktop device. On the other hand, users can easily choose to upgrade it via Apple Software Update tool.
