Each iOS version released by the Fruit Company is hardly tested in advance in order to prevent and solve important issues or bugs. They release multiple beta versions so developers would have the possibility to test and to try out the future OS version. This is a great thing because in this way, they also give to the developers the possibility to prepare their apps and tweaks. However, as some of you are aware of, the iOS 6.1 is quite old on the market. We already had the possibility to try out four beta versions so far and now, Apple developers released the new Beta 5 build.
The iOS 6.1 beta 5 is ready for download but as the previous ones, it is designed exclusively for the use of the developers. As it is suggested, Beta 5 plans to bring us many bug fixes and improvements. As some of you might guess, the Maps service is one of the main issues, which still needs constant improvement. However, this is not all. Apple still has many things to deal with and the new iOS 6.1 will bring notable improvements in what concerns Siri or the Passbook service.
Therefore, iOS 6.1 beta 5 can only be downloaded by developers at this moment. This means that you need to be registered to the Apple Dev Team in order to be able to download the software. If you do not want to wait any longer for an official release of the already-famous iOS 6.1, you are free to sign up and download beta 5 build. I must tell you that the registration is $99 per year, so you might want to reconsider your thoughts.
If you really want to download iOS 6.1 Beta 5 and try it out to see what else is new, you should hurry up because the iOS 6.1 beta 4 is supposed to expire in a few days. The IPSW can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center, but in a few days, I am sure that we can access it from the Software update service.
