Download iOS 6.1 beta 2 for iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

As some of you might be aware, the new iOS 6.1 beta 2 was released on the market with developer purposes only. This means that only if you are a developer you should upgrade to the latest iOS version to try out your new apps and tweaks. As any other former version, the new iOS 6.1 beta 2 tried to cover all problems and bugs in what concerns the previous operating system.

However, for those of you who are interested in this topic, I want to tell you several thing n this respect. First of all, as a main characteristic, the iOS 6.1 beta 2 tries to show developers new ways in which they will be able to integrate the Maps application into third party apps. This thing will give developers a step forward in developing and testing various possibilities including the famous Apple mapping system, which soon, will be a native Apple app.

Another change is concerning the audio controls in the lock screen. Apparently, users have now more options to choose from. However, there are several other minor things that were changed within the latest iOS 6.1 beta 2 released. If you are a developer and you want to test and prepare your apps for the future update, you should definitely upgrade to the iOS 6.1 beta 2 version. 

This release is meant only for those registered to Apple’s Developer program, therefore if you want to test iOS 6.1 beta 2 version you should register to the $99 per year package at Apple. If you already have iOS 6.1 beta 1 on your iDevice just head on to Settings > General > Software Update in order to get the newest iOS 6.1 beta 2.
