For those of you who keep in touch with the latest news concerning the Fruit Company, I am sure that this is not that big news. However, for the rest, the release of iOS 6.1 surely comes as something big. A short time after the release of the well-awaited iOS 6, Apple developers hurried to release another version, which was meant to improve or fix all issues and problems noted by users.
The iOS 6.0.1 firmware was released in the same time with the iOS 6.1 beta 1 version. The last one was for developer purposes only and it brings major changes and improvements. Since iOS 6.1 beta 1 is designed for developers, those of you who do not own a developer account should not upgrade to it. It is meant for those of you who own one app or several ones and you want to update them for the future firmware.
Let me tell you some things about this beta version of iOS. First, I want to mention the mapping service developed by Apple. Now, it can be integrated in all applications. For those of you who encounter problems regarding the mapping service, now you have a bigger “Report A Problem” button. This should solve almost every problem. Apparently, all Wi-FI problems were solved and in the same time, the cellular data usage is no longer an issue. In the last part, I want to mention also the fact that iOS 6.1 beta 1 is compatible only with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4/4S and iPod Touch 4th generation.
As I told you, iOS 6.1 is only a beta version and it is designed for developers only. You can download iOS 6.1 from iOS Dev Center.
If you are not a iOS developer then i strongly recommend to wait until the full version will be released on the market.
