As you all know since iOS 6.1 was released for the public use, people encountered several bugs and problems within their devices. I am sure that you are now familiar with the Exchange bug or with the Lock screen issue in a way or another. Fortunately, Apple promised to fix all those issues by releasing a new software update and namely the iOS 6.1.2. Now, users are able to download iOS 6.1.2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The Exchange bug causes people multiple connectivity issues, and in the same time, it decreases the battery life and performance of any device. Users were not able to access their Exchange accounts, and at that point, Apple suggested a temporary solution before the update was released in order to fix it. In the same time, there was the bug that permits users to bypass the lock screen of their devices and to access important data within it. Even if this process is unable to be performed by accident, I am sure that many users would want to access some particular devices by passing the passcode security.
The new iOS 6.1.2 was meant to solve all those problems, for iPhone 4S, as well for the rest of iDevices. Fortunately, the Exchange bug and the Lock screen bug were addressed with the release of iOS 6.1.2. As Apple suggested in their iOS 6.1.2 release, the update fixes the Exchange calendar bug that could result in increased network activity and reduced battery life.
However, if you encounter at least one of these two major problems, and you want to protect your device, you are encouraged to update your iOS device as soon as possible. Fortunately, if you choose to upgrade, you do not have to worry about the jailbreak status of your device because Apple has not patched the Evasion jailbreak in this release. After you upgrade, you are still able to perform untethered jailbreak on your iOS 6.1.2 device using Evasion 1.4. However, when you upgrade, you can choose either over the air from your own device, or you can use the iTunes service.
