A couple of hours after releasing Evasi0n7 1.0.3, Evad3rs team decided to release another update to the famous jailbreak tool. This time, Evasi0n7 for iOS 7 untethered jailbreak reached version 1.0.4, and it brings a couple of security fixes and stability to all iOS 7.1 devices.
The update includes important and notable security fixes, related to the untether aspect of iOS devices, which was reported by Winocm earlier today. In the same time, the 1.0.4 update also provides a proper fix for boot loop issues for the Retina iPad Mini device. As some of you already know, various iPad Mini 2 Retina users experienced a boot loop when jailbreaking their devices. The update fixes this problem.
According to the official changelog posted, Evasi0n7 was ”updated to 1.0.4 at with important untether security fixes as well as no more iPad mini Retina JB issues”. In the same time, “existing JB users will receive the evasi0n7 1.0.4 untether security update through Cydia, as soon as @saurik refreshes his repository.”
In order to offer full support to jailbreakers, Saurik released an update for Cydia Substrate as well as a different major update for the well-known WinterBoard tweak. The jailbreak tweak brings full compatibility for iOS 7 and ARM64 devices such as iPhone 5S, iPad Air and the Retina iPad mini.
For those of you who already own a jailbroken iOS 7.x device and you want to upgrade it, just wait for the update to reach the Cydia store. This should happen pretty soon.
