The September 10 event brought Apple in the attention of the public. The Cupertino tech giant unveiled two different handsets, the iPhone 5S and the budget iPhone 5c. The first device is an improvement of the current iPhone 5 while the budget handset is similar to iPhone 5 having a polycarbonate finish.
When announcing the cheaper iPhone, the Fruit Company also confirmed the fact that it would make the iPhone 5c available for pre-order starting with September 13. This means a weak before it will go on sale.
According to a pre-order page offered by Verizon, one of the four American mobile operators, the carrier will allow customers to pre-order the cheaper handset offered by the Cupertino-based company starting with 3 AM Eastern Time, which means midnight in the Pacific area.
On the other hand, Sprint, another American mobile operator, shows 2 AM Central Time as a pre-order time, which also means midnight on Pacific. It is worth mentioning the fact that Verizon did not confirm the fact that iPhone 5c will be the only handset available for pre-order at the mentioned time.
In the case of iPhone 5S, the other handset unveiled by Apple at the 10th September event, Apple has said that the iPhone 5 will not be made available for pre-order, and for those who want to purchase the latest handset will have to visit an Apple store.
In what concerns Apple’s partnership with these carriers, the Fruit Company is definitely leading towards something else. However, as it was mentioned earlier, these carriers represent two of the four major carriers in America.
Both the iPhone 5c, the budget handset, and the iPhone 5S, the ultimate device offered by Apple, will be available for purchase from the 20th of September, precisely ten days after they were revealed at Apple’s Cupertino headquarters. Apple is planning to sell both of these devices in millions of units until the fourth quarter is ended.
In the matter of price, for those who still do not know, the 16 GB iPhone 5c will cost $99, and the 32 GB model will cost $199 on a two-year contract signed with one of Apple’s partners. For the unlocked models, buyers will have to spend up to $549 for the 16 GB model and $649 for the 32 GB one.
